According to the plan, the Pho Hien Festival will take place from April 25 to 27, 2026 (ie from March 9 to 11 of the lunar calendar). The opening ceremony will be held at 8:10 pm on April 25 at Nguyen Van Linh Square (Pho Hien ward).
The highlight of the program is a special art night with the theme "Phố Hiến danh bất hư truyền - Về miền thắng tích", gathering many artists and more than 450 actors participating in performances.
The festival consists of two main parts. The ceremony part is solemnly organized according to traditional rituals with activities such as water procession on the Red River, announcement ceremony, and procession of the Holy palanquin.
The festival part took place sôi nổi with many unique cultural and sports activities such as ca tru performances, military drum singing, giao duyen singing; chess competitions, human chess, tug-of-war; Hung Yen Provincial Cuisine Festival for the 3rd time.
Up to now, departments, branches, and localities have basically completed the tasks according to the plan. Propaganda work has been deployed synchronously; the opening ceremony script and art program have been reviewed and completed. Stage, sound, and lighting systems are being installed; the festival activities are built in detail, with clear assignments.
Logistics, reception, security, and order sub-committees proactively plan to serve delegates, people and tourists. At the same time, live television, health, security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation are synchronously prepared to ensure the festival takes place safely and successfully.
