Promoting potential from the unique experience of U Minh forest
The "U Minh Forest Fragrance 2026" event is organized to celebrate major holidays, and at the same time introduce to tourists the unique natural and cultural values of the U Minh Ha forest region.
According to Mr. Ho Hoang Ca - Deputy Director of U Minh Ha National Park, Ca Mau - through activities associated with the natural conditions of the melaleuca forest, the organizers want to highlight the potential and strengths of ecotourism; and at the same time create an environment for exchange and connection between organizations, businesses and people in developing services and trade.

The event is expected to attract a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, association members, students and people in the province to participate. People who are healthy enough can register, contributing to creating a widespread movement.
The contents are designed to be associated with the ecology of U Minh forest such as 4,000m cross-forest running, 2,000m walking, three-leaf boat swimming, sparring swim, monkey bridge walking... These are activities that require dexterity, flexibility, and at the same time recreate the typical daily life of riverine residents.

Bringing experiential activities into the melaleuca forest environment not only increases attractiveness but also helps participants better understand the value of the ecosystem, raise awareness of protecting forests and natural resources. The organizing committee requests the implementation to ensure safety, strictly comply with regulations on forest management, protection and fire prevention and fighting.
Awakening the potential of U Minh Ha
According to the plan, the draw ceremony will take place at 9:00 AM on May 9th at U Minh Ha National Park; the opening ceremony and main events will be held from 6:00 AM on May 10th; closing and awarding ceremonies will be completed on the same day.
U Minh Ha National Park is assigned to preside over the development of the plan; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates to implement and promote propaganda, and sends specialized forces to participate in the Organizing Committee, the Judging Panel and referees.

Departments and sectors such as Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Finance, Education and Training and the Provincial Tourism Association are requested to mobilize officials, members, and workers to participate, creating a response atmosphere throughout the province.
People's Committees of Da Bac, Khanh An, and Khanh Lam communes coordinated to mobilize forces to ensure security and order, and traffic safety. Da Bac commune specifically arranged on-duty medical forces, ready to support, and at the same time mobilized small traders to prepare goods and services to serve tourists.
Through the event, Ca Mau province aims to promote its image, attract tourists to experience U Minh Ha melaleuca forest, and gradually enhance the value of ecotourism.
It is known that Ca Mau province has approved the zoning plan for the construction of the U Minh Ha National Park eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment area with a scale of more than 1,300 hectares, in Da Bac and Khanh An communes.
The plan aims to develop a high-quality tourism ecosystem, combining nature sightseeing and resort services. By 2030, the tourist area is expected to welcome about 310,000 visitors per year, increasing the overnight stay rate, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development in a sustainable direction.
