From Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, if driving on the highway, tourists can usually go through 3 passes: Mimosa Pass - currently a landslide, Pren Pass - currently a landslide and Sacom Pass - currently a smooth means of transportation.
In addition, due to prolonged heavy rain in recent days, National Highway 27C connecting Da Lat - Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) near Khanh Le Pass continued to have landslides in many places, causing traffic congestion on November 23. Due to the large amount of rock and soil, it will take at least 2 to 3 days to recover.
This has significantly affected the psychology of tourists to Da Lat and Lam Dong.

The family of Ms. Tran Tram, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, chose Da Lat as the destination to celebrate her son's birthday this time so that he could fulfill his dream of picking strawberries. The family drove their own car to Da Lat, passing through Bao Loc Pass and Sacom Pass to avoid landslides.
Ms. Tram said: "Usually the rainy season in Da Lat is over until November. This year it rained more than usual; my family goes to Da Lat 3-4 times a year so we feel it very clearly. Although it is the rainy season, the road is still open in previous years, but this year there are landslides, many routes have to be temporarily banned to fix it.
Due to the complicated landslide situation, the homestay owner proactively proposed to postpone Ms. Tram's family's vacation until January. But luckily, when I got here, it was no longer raining heavily, the whole family just traveled around the city center.
Meanwhile, some tourists to Da Lat by air cannot travel more conveniently.
On the evening of November 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Trang flew from Hai Phong to Da Lat. According to her, the weather is currently only light rain, the roads in the center are quite stable. The next day, she visited some places such as Ve Chai Pagoda, Bao Dai Dinh, Truc Lam Zen Monastery. Shops and food services are still open normally, but the number of customers is quite sparse.
After four days of visiting Bao Loc, Lam Dong province, Ms. Ngoc Khanh, a tourist from Da Nang, returned to Da Lat with a somewhat worried mentality.
"This is not the first time I have been to Da Lat, but it is a trip that worries me so much, especially because of the landslides that paralyze traffic. I constantly update the traffic status on social networks, she said.
Ms. Khanh said that even if it is sometimes clear, she still dares to stay in the city, go out to eat and drink coffee, not dare to go to the suburbs or places with beautiful scenery because of concerns about landslides. After climbing and being active at Bao Loc, she saw the time in Da Lat as an opportunity to rest and recover her strength.
On November 22, when booking a car at Lien Khuong airport, the driver informed that it was necessary to take a road through Sacom, so the cost increased by 100,000 VND, from 250,000 VND to 350,000 VND due to the longer distance compared to when taking Prenn Pass. At the end of the trip, Ms. Khanh returned to Da Nang safely to continue working.
On November 23, the Ministry of Construction issued an urgent telegram, requesting to speed up the repair work to ensure temporary traffic opening on Mimosa Pass before November 30, 2025.
Due to the impact of heavy rains lasting from November 18 to 19, at Km 226+600 to Km 226+800 on Mimosa Pass, the negative slope and the roadbed have been eroded, creating deep holes and cracks, completely cutting off traffic on the route.
Due to the impact of floods in the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa in recent days, many flights to and from Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa and Cam Ranh airports have also been affected, and have had to adjust flight plans.
To support people and tourists, some airlines have changed the flight time to free or refunded non-tedition fees according to ticket conditions for passengers with flights departing at affected airports.
Specifically, passengers can change their tickets if there are flights departing from Cam Ranh airport from November 20 to November 23, 2025; flights departing from Tuy Hoa airport from November 20 to November 25, 2025; flights departing from Phu Cat airport from November 19 to November 23, 2025.
