Currently, tourists around the world tend to use AI travel planning technology to schedule their trips. Tourists are starting to pay attention to utilities and services that apply modern technology, such as serving robots, AI technology application points at the accommodation...
In addition, the popular trend is to book tickets early to hunt for cheap quality trips. In particular, tourists want to find discount codes from loyalty programs to optimize costs as much as possible.
According to Startravel’s assessment, the travel trend report shows that while international tourists tend to plan carefully, book tickets in advance to take advantage of early deals and avoid price risks, many Vietnamese tourists still maintain the habit of booking tours, accommodation services or transportation at the last minute. This often leads to unwanted risks such as sold-out tickets, crowded during peak season, and even having to pay higher costs.
Experts say the Vietnamese people’s last-minute travel trend is a hard-to-break habit. Vietnamese travelers tend to book tickets close to the departure date, especially for domestic flights and short vacations.
According to a report from Vietnam Airlines, more than 40% of customers book tickets within a week of their flight. This may be because many Vietnamese people expect to get a “good deal” or cheap tickets at the last minute. However, booking tickets close to the date can cause ticket prices to increase suddenly because airlines apply dynamic pricing policies.
Travel experts and tour operators always encourage tourists to book tickets early. Ms. Pham Kim Nhung, CEO of Startravel, who has many years of experience in the 5-star cruise industry, said that the company has launched the program "Book early for good prices".
The program helps customers book tours 90 days in advance at a good price, with plenty of time to choose the schedule that best suits their needs. From there, tourists not only save money but also ensure a smooth travel experience, not affected by crowded conditions, sold out tickets during peak seasons and holidays.

For cruise tourism, the ship's schedule is usually available at least half a year to a year in advance. Tourists can completely plan their vacations and their families' holidays many months in advance.
“Booking tours early not only helps tourists feel secure about their schedules but also optimizes their budget with many incentives. In the context of increasing travel demand, preparation in advance becomes more necessary. We hope that through preferential policies for early booking, the habit of planned travel will gradually become popular with Vietnamese customers, helping them avoid inconveniences and fully enjoy their journey,” Ms. Pham Kim Nhung shared.
