Hai Phong - On July 23, a large number of people and tourists attended the opening ceremony of the traditional Phu Long communal house festival in 2026.

Phu Long communal house is one of the typical historical and cultural relics of the Cat Ba gateway area. According to local documents, Phu Long land has a history of formation of about 500 - 600 years, associated with the process of reclamation and establishment of villages by coastal residents. Experiencing many historical upheavals, the communal house was restored in 2007 from the joint efforts of local people and was ranked as a city-level historical and cultural relic in 2010. Not only is it a place for religious activities, the communal house also preserves many unique historical, cultural and architectural values, becoming a spiritual support for the local community as well as an attractive destination for tourists when coming to Cat Hai.

The traditional Phu Long Pagoda Festival 2026 takes place from July 23 to 25 (ie from June 10 to 12 of the Binh Ngo year) with many cultural and sports activities imbued with folk identity such as traditional rituals, mass art exchanges, tug-of-war, dragon boat races, blindfolded duck catching competitions and many unique folk games.
