In his opening speech, Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Lai Chau is the upstream land of the Da River, where "painting, hydrangeas, and fairies" converge, proud to own 7/10 highest mountains in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with an altitude of over 3,000m, along with a system of caves, sparkling waterfalls, mystery and unique cultural identity of 20 ethnic groups.
According to Mr. Hai, in recent years, the province has identified tourism as a spearhead economic sector, playing an important role in the economic and service structure and creating sustainable livelihoods for people.
To date, Lai Chau has formed a system of 25 tourist areas and destinations, maintaining 3 provincial-level festivals annually. Many key tourism products are increasingly affirming their brands such as Sin Suoi Ho community tourism village, Marathon route to conquer thousands of clouds...
