To maximize natural advantages, the government and management units are gradually building unique tourism products, associated with the Muong Phang special-use forest ecosystem.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Conservation and Tourism Development (Provincial Protection Forest and Special-Use Forest Management Board) - said that ecotourism and community tourism experience activities often take place bustlingly during the flood season.
In order to exploit the tourism potential of Muong Phang special-use forest. Experiences will be organized according to the typical season in the forest. For example, the chestnut picking season only takes place from October to December, after which it is expected to be possible to organize cherry blossom viewing experiences.
Since deployment, on average, 4-5 families come to experience it every weekend. Initial feedback from visitors is very positive, especially children, because the activity is new and close to nature.


Possessing poetic landscapes and a diverse ecosystem, Pa Khoang Lake is gradually affirming its position on the Dien Bien tourism map.
This is a potential destination, opening up great room for ecotourism and resort development, while creating attraction for investors to exploit the pristine natural space of Dien Bien mountains and forests.
Pa Khoang Lake is about 20 km from the center of Dien Bien province, the lake has a capacity of more than 40 million m3.
According to the language of the Thai ethnic people, Pa Khoang lake is called "Bamboo Forest".
In addition to supplying water to Muong Thanh fields and 2 hydropower projects (Thac Bay, Na Loi), Pa Khoang lake also has many advantages for tourism economic development.
