The conference was attended by 130 delegates representing tourism associations and businesses in the Russian Federation and Khanh Hoa province.
Mr. Dang Minh Khoi - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation shared that in 2024, Vietnam will welcome more than 232,300 Russian visitors, an increase of 84.9% compared to 2023, despite limitations in flight routes.
The Ambassador emphasized that more and more Russian tourists are choosing Vietnam to explore the culture, cuisine, and beautiful nature. Therefore, this growth trend is expected to continue in 2025. In particular, Nha Trang - considered the " beach capital of Vietnam" - is a favorite destination thanks to its long coastline, clear water, mild climate and rich services.

At the conference, Khanh Hoa tourism industry introduced the province's unique destinations. From the beautiful beaches of Nha Trang, to high-end resorts, diverse beach tourism services and unique indigenous cultural experiences.
Delegates also shared specific solutions to restore the Russian tourist market. Tourism businesses of both sides expressed their consensus and pledged close cooperation. The goal is to take advantage of preferential policies, as well as exchange initiatives, to overcome current difficulties towards a sustainable development future for the tourism industry of both sides.
According to Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Russian visitors are a traditional tourist market for Khanh Hoa tourism in particular and Vietnam in general.
In 2019, it is estimated that there were about 462,972 Russian tourists visiting Khanh Hoa province, accounting for 71.6% of the total number of Russian tourists to Vietnam.
By 2024, the number of Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa had recovered, estimated at 105,513 visitors, an increase of 206% over the same period, but only 22.8% compared to 2019.
Mr. Tran Hoa Nam emphasized that the tourism promotion conference contributed to the recovery and re-expansion of the Russian tourist market after the recent difficult period.

In particular, the two sides had a detailed discussion on the plan to restore the direct flight from Moscow to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa with representatives of Aeroflot airline. Aeroflot has planned to reopen this route with a frequency of 2 flights/week, expected to start from the end of March 2025.
The restoration of air routes will not only shorten travel time but also reduce airfares, creating favorable conditions to attract the Russian tourist market.
Also within the framework of the conference, Russian businesses visited the exhibition area with many attractive products and promotional publications, providing a comprehensive view of Khanh Hoa tourism services and potential.
Through the B2B session, many opportunities have been opened for Russian enterprises to exchange directly, connect and build long-term business cooperation relationships with partners from Khanh Hoa in the coming time.
