Accordingly, thanks to proactively preparing products and promoting communication and advertising, the local tourism industry has attracted a large number of tourists to celebrate Tet and enjoy spring.
From February 16 to 21 (ie December 29 to the 5th day of Tet), Cam Ranh International Airport served 774 flights taking off and landing; including 497 international flights and 277 domestic flights. The total number of passengers going to and from the airport reached about 142,720.
In addition, a large number of tourists choose to travel by private car to Khanh Hoa during the Tet holiday, contributing to increasing traffic infrastructure pressure but also showing the attractiveness of the destination.
During this occasion, 4-5 star, large-scale accommodation establishments and many tourist destinations have proactively decorated Tet spaces and organized events to serve tourists.
Many hotels and resorts such as Vinpearl, Champa Island Nha Trang, Potique Hotel Nha Trang, Alma Resort Cam Ranh, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, The Anam Cam Ranh, Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh... organize buffet parties to welcome the New Year, lion dances to welcome spring, lucky money at the beginning of the year, Ong Do giving calligraphy letters, culinary programs and folk games, introducing Vietnamese traditional culture to tourists.
According to reports, from February 15 to 21, (December 28 to the 5th day of Tet), the whole province is estimated to welcome 320,000 overnight visitors, an increase of nearly 12.3% compared to the same period last year; of which there are about 120,000 international visitors (an increase of more than 23%) and 200,000 domestic visitors (an increase of nearly 6.7%).
The average room occupancy rate reached about 83.11%, with peak visitor gatherings from the 2nd to the 5th day of Tet. Some hotels and resorts recorded 100% room occupancy during these peak days.
At the same time, tourist areas and attractions such as VinWonders Nha Trang, Ba Po Nagar Tower, Oceanographic Museum, Long Son Pagoda, Hon Chong scenic spot, Hoa Lan Island Tourist Area, Yang Bay Tourist Park, Nha Trang Ancient Craft Village, Po Klong Garai Tower... welcomed a large number of visitors.
It is estimated that the total number of visitors to tourist attractions in the area reached about 735,000, an increase of 12.1% compared to the same period.
