On February 11, news from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that the international cruise ship Diamond Princess will dock at Cam Ranh International Port, bringing about 2,500 tourists in the coming days.
Tourists coming to Khanh Hoa this time mainly come from the US, Australia and European countries, visiting the locality.
According to information from the tourism industry, the Diamond Princess ship departed from Phu My port (Ho Chi Minh City) and is expected to dock at Cam Ranh International Port at 9:00 AM on the same day. The time the cruise ship stays in Khanh Hoa for visitors to go ashore to visit lasts until 6:00 PM.
During their short stay, tourists will be organized by Phuong Thang Trade and Tourism Service Co., Ltd. and Destination Asia Co., Ltd. with many sightseeing and experiential programs at prominent destinations such as Ponagar Tower, Long Son Pagoda, Dam Market; visiting and experiencing Truong Son craft village; Cai River tour, cycling to explore the countryside and some other cultural and ecological tourism products.
After completing the tour program in Khanh Hoa, the Diamond Princess ship will leave Cam Ranh International Port in the afternoon of the same day to continue its journey to Da Nang port.
According to statistics, from the beginning of 2026 to now, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 12 international cruise ships with more than 21,659 visitors ashore for sightseeing. According to registration schedules from shipping lines, in 2026, the locality is expected to welcome about 40 more international cruise ships.
The return of international cruise ship activities with high frequency is assessed as a positive signal, contributing to promoting the recovery and development of Khanh Hoa tourism, while diversifying the international tourist market and improving the efficiency of exploiting the tourist seaport system.
