Promoting the development of high-quality tourism human resources
According to experts, standardizing management skills and service quality is becoming an urgent requirement for the hotel industry in the context of strong tourism recovery and increasingly fierce competition between destinations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said that tourism is being identified as a key economic sector of the nation.
However, the lack of synchronization in business operations and the gap in public-private partnerships are still "bottlenecks" affecting sustainable development.
According to Mr. Khai, bringing the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Project into Vietnam is a strategic step to build high-quality human resources - a key factor determining the competitiveness of the entire industry.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center informed that the whole province has 1,458 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 71,196 rooms. Of which, 111 3-5 star accommodation establishments with 28,323 rooms, accounting for about 40% of the total number of rooms in the province.
Many major international brands are present in Khanh Hoa such as Amanoi Resort, Hyatt Regency, InterContinental, Marriott International... contributing to raising the local tourism brand.
In 2026, Khanh Hoa sets a target to welcome more than 18.8 million tourist arrivals. Of which, there are about 6.3 million international visitors; tourism revenue is expected to reach about 78.100 billion VND.
According to Mr. Minh, investing in human resource training according to international standards both improves service quality and builds Khanh Hoa into a modern, professional and sustainable destination on the world tourism map.
