On June 3, news from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa said that it had issued a document requesting agencies, units, organizations, and individuals not to conduct or develop tourism types in the Mui Hoi, Binh Ba, and Hon Chut areas.
The issuance of the above document is based on Decision No. 04 in 2025 of the Prime Minister promulgating regulations on ensuring security and safety of Cam Ranh military base and Official Dispatch No. 6207 dated May 2026 of the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring security and safety in the Binh Hung, Bai Kinh, Vinh Hy areas.
From there, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa has issued a document requesting agencies, units, organizations, and individuals to strictly implement relevant regulations.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed to strengthen propaganda to people, businesses, tourism service business establishments and tourist transportation about regulations on ensuring national defense and security; not to organize, promote, broker or take tourists to areas not allowed to organize tourism activities.
Travel and tourism service businesses are required to continue to strictly implement Decision No. 04; not to organize tourism activities in the area of Mui Hoi, Binh Ba island, Hon Chut - Binh Hung island; urgently review and terminate tourism activities in prohibited areas.
Businesses do not build tourism programs and do not advertise product visits to Binh Ba Island, Hon Chut - Binh Hung Island to tourists.
The Department also requested the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and the Travel Association Branch - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to strengthen propaganda to members and travel businesses not to develop tourism types in the above-mentioned areas; not to organize tours, promote, broker or take tourists to areas not allowed to operate tourism according to Government regulations.
For the People's Committee of Nam Cam Ranh commune, the Department proposed to continue to strictly implement Decision No. 04, and at the same time strengthen state management of tourism in the area.
Nam Cam Ranh commune is responsible for organizing reviews, inspections and strictly handling organizations and individuals doing business in tourism services in areas not allowed to organize tourism activities.
