On March 27, in Truong Ninh commune, Quang Tri province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Nguyen Huu Canh Ceremony Hall - a famous general who contributed to expanding the Southern border - took place.
The project has profound historical and cultural significance, is a place to commemorate and express gratitude to ancestors, contributing to educating the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" for today's and future generations.
Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh, born in 1650, was born in the land now belonging to Truong Ninh commune, Quang Tri province. He was the son of famous general Nguyen Huu Dat, early famous for both literary and martial arts talents and was assigned many important responsibilities.

In 1698, he entered the southern capital, established an administrative system in Gia Dinh Palace, established Tran Bien Palace and Phien Tran Palace, recruited people to establish hamlets, reclaimed land, and laid the foundation for the Southern region today.
The Nguyen Huu Canh Church project is not only meaningful to Quang Tri but also shows the bond between Quang Tri and Dong Nai, two localities sharing the historical imprint of the famous general.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee expressed his gratitude to Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for supporting resources to build the project, contributing to tightening the affection between the two localities.
The project is expected to become a spiritual cultural space, a place for traditional education, and also a symbol connecting regions, promoting national historical and cultural values.
Quang Tri province requests the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and construction units to ensure the quality, progress, and aesthetics of the project; localities should closely coordinate to deploy smoothly.
The construction of Nguyen Huu Canh Church is a practical activity to preserve historical values, arouse national pride and aim for sustainable development.
