From the night of January 10, the cold air continues to strengthen and affect other places in the Northwest and Central Central regions, and some places in the South Central region. Northeast winds inland gradually strengthen to level 2-3, and coastal areas to level 3-4.
In the North, North Central and Central Central regions, the weather continues to be cold, with some areas in the mountainous and midland regions of the North experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions is generally 10-13 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous regions of the North 6-9 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous regions below 5 degrees in some places; in the area from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue, it is generally 15-18 degrees Celsius.

From noon and afternoon of January 9, the Northeast wind in the North East Sea gradually increased to level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves 3.0-5.0m high.
From the night of January 9, the sea area west of the South China Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) and the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, and waves 2.0-4.5m high.
From the afternoon to the night of January 9, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind gradually increases to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves from 1.5-3.5m high; in the sea from Quang Tri to Phu Yen and the central East Sea, the Northeast wind gradually increases to level 6-7, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves from 2.0-4.5m high.
Due to the influence of cold air strengthening from the afternoon of January 9, the area from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh will have rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places.
Residents and tourists should be on guard during thunderstorms as tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind are possible.
Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect boating and other activities.
