In August, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is expected to organize many tourism promotion and advertising activities such as the Forum to consult on tourism development solutions for Lam Dong province in the period 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2040; closing the "Summer Tourism Season 2026" series of activities and the Lam Dong Tourism Promotion and Promotion Conference in Hanoi.
The province also plans to welcome Famtrip, KOLs, TikTokers, travel bloggers from Hanoi and northern provinces; participate in the ITE HCMC International Tourism Fair 2026 and organize the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference in Lam Dong province in 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
At Lien Khuong airport, functional agencies plan to arrange space to promote local image, install tourism information kiosks; introduce OCOP products, typical products, specialties and tourism promotion publications at the passenger terminal.
A series of cultural and sports activities await airport reopening
In the field of sports, many tournaments are expected to take place such as Vovinam, Karate, Taekwondo within the framework of the Sports Festival; Beach Tennis Championship (TTF) and International Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament.
In September, Lam Dong is expected to organize the 2nd Provincial Gong Club Festival in 2026; investment and trade connection programs; welcome a Chinese delegation to survey factories, growing areas, industrial zones and clusters and organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities.
Men's Futsal tournaments, Billiards within the framework of the Sports Games and many other sports such as stilt race, stick pushing, tug-of-war, crossbow shooting, cannon shooting and athletics are also organized.
In the last months of the year, the province is expected to organize an international conference on the city of musical creation; the program "Pearl of the sea" associated with "Gift and shopping festival, tourism and culinary festival"; an international economic and cultural exchange event and the 3rd Vietnam Brocade Culture Festival in 2026.
Besides, there are the professional cycling race around Lam Dong in 2026 and Lam Dong Culture - Tourism Day in Ho Chi Minh City.
Especially, in December 2026, at Da Lat Flower Festival. This is a national-scale cultural and tourism event held periodically to honor the value of flowers and the flower growing profession; promote the image of nature, tourism, and the cultural beauty of "peaceful, elegant, hospitable" Da Lat people to domestic and international friends.
Communes, wards, and special zones in the province are also expected to organize about 32 cultural and sports programs, activities, and events in the last months of the year, contributing to stimulating tourism demand, promoting local image and promoting socio-economic development.
According to the plan, on August 19, Lien Khuong International Airport is expected to resume operations, serving about 36 - 40 flights and 6,800 passengers per day.
In the last 4 months of 2026 alone, passenger volume is estimated at about 816,000 arrivals.
The airport's resumption is expected not only to restore air transport after a period of interruption but also to create conditions to expand the flight network, promote tourism, trade, logistics and attract investment, creating new growth momentum for Lam Dong.
