On August 29, the Organizing Committee of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2026 said that it had just sent an invitation letter to experts, scientists, artists and people with experience in the fields of culture, art, and events inside and outside the province to participate in proposing ideas for building the opening program and the art program "Happy New Year 2027" combined with the closing of the Festival.
Accordingly, the opening program is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM on December 19, 2026 at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
The Art program "Happy New Year 2027" combined with the closing ceremony of the Festival is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM on December 31, 2026, also at Lam Vien Square, broadcast live on Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio, Television.
The Organizing Committee hopes that the ideas will show the stature of the Da Lat Flower Festival - a typical cultural and tourism festival of Lam Dong and a unique festival brand of Vietnam.
The content needs to honor flowers, the flower growing profession of Da Lat, and promote the brand "Da Lat - A miraculous crystallization from fertile land".
The proposals also need to introduce the unique values of culture, nature, people, tourism and typical products of Lam Dong; affirming Da Lat's position as a UNESCO Creative City of Music.
The Organizing Committee encourages the combination of tradition with modernity, local identity with contemporary art; applying modern performance technology and proposing domestic and international artists and art units to participate.
Ideas can focus on topics, messages, program structure, framework scripts, typical performances, stage designs, fine arts, technology and communication.
Organizations and individuals send ideas to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province within 15 working days from the date of issuance of the invitation letter.
According to the plan, the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival has the theme "Da Lat - Harmony of Flowers and Music", activities taking place throughout 2026, in which the key program focuses on December.
