According to the plan of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the festival is organized in Luong Van Tri, Dong Kinh, Ky Lua and Tam Thanh wards, aiming to create night tourism products, attract tourists to stay and promote trade and services.
The opening ceremony took place at 8 pm on September 19 at Hung Vuong street stage, Luong Van Tri ward, lasting about an hour.
After the art program, drones will synchronize lighting, create images and effects in the sky, introducing Lang Son culture and people.
On the same evening, the lantern parade is expected to depart from Hung Vuong street, across Ky Cung bridge, 17/10 street, Nguyen Du, Dong Kinh bridge and then return to the gathering point.
The parade has about 8 large lantern models implemented by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Four wards and 10 communes Huu Lung, Chi Lang, Bac Son, Binh Gia, Van Quan, Dong Dang, Na Sam, That Khe, Loc Binh and Dinh Lap will contribute one model each locality.
Participants wear traditional costumes of ethnic groups or dress up according to themes, combined with street art performances. Agencies, schools, businesses, cooperatives and border localities are also encouraged to participate.
During the two days of the festival, Hung Vuong Street Cultural Space will display Vietnamese lanterns according to three themes: history, modernity and creativity.
Tourists and students can experience making lights under the guidance of artisans and take photos at lighting decoration areas.
The "Lung linh night of Lang Son" fair opens from 5pm to 11pm on September 19 and 20, introducing OCOP products, local specialties, and street food. Lanterns will be hung along the service road, lighting models, performance areas and folk games will be arranged.
On the evening of September 20, the art exchange program "Bright Moon in the Border Region" took place at Hung Vuong Street stage.
Within the framework of the festival, Lang Son is expected to organize a seminar on developing Vietnam - China border tourism, discussing the expansion of tours connecting Lang Son - Guangxi and cooperation between tourism businesses of the two sides.
Representatives of the culture and tourism industry of Guangxi and some localities of China such as Sung Ta, Bang Tuong, Long Chau are expected to be invited to attend.
The province also organizes eco-tours and experiences at locations belonging to UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark in September.
Festival organization costs are allocated from the budget, integrated sources from programs, projects and socialized sources.
