Accordingly, from November 8 to 10, Lao Cai will organize the Festival "Lao Cai Brocade - Cultural Colors" at No. 2 Fansipan, Fansipan Street, Sa Pa town.
The festival will feature performances and introductions of brocade products; a special art program will open the festival “Lao Cai Brocade - Cultural Colors” with the theme “Sa Pa Brocade of the Misty Clouds”.
Within the premises of the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center, the Festival will introduce the brocade culture typical of the Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, and Xa Pho ethnic groups in conjunction with tourism promotion.
Displaying ethnic costumes and patterns; actors demonstrating the traditional brocade production process; introducing applied brocade products for tourists to visit and enjoy.
The festival is an opportunity for Lao Cai to promote brocade products bearing the brand of Lao Cai province, associated with preserving and promoting national cultural values.
At the same time, contributing to the implementation of the project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on "Preserving and promoting traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the current period" and the project "Preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development in 2024" of Lao Cai province.
On this occasion, units, localities, brocade cooperatives, and businesses have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and share experiences in conservation, exploitation, and serving socio-economic development and tourism.
In addition, this is also an impressive highlight to promote and attract tourists to visit and introduce the brocade colors of Lao Cai, stimulating tourism after the impact of storm No. 3.
