On the evening of January 16, at Lam Vien Square, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the Cherry Blossom Festival with the theme "Da Lat Cherry Blossoms - converging spring colors", attracting a large number of people and domestic and international tourists.
The opening ceremony not only honors the beauty of cherry blossoms - the symbol of Da Lat - but also a colorful cultural space, a place of harmony between people and nature in the bustling spring atmosphere.
Ms. Tran Thi Vu Loan - Chairwoman of Xuan Huong Ward People's Committee (Da Lat City) said that the festival contributes to promoting the image of Lam Dong tourism, while promoting cultural values and building the image of gentle, elegant, and hospitable Da Lat people.
The festival is also an activity aimed at celebrating the 14th National Party Congress and the Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026, thereby affirming Da Lat as a green, clean, beautiful, unique and creative destination.
The highlight of the opening night is the real-scene art program with the theme "Da Lat cherry blossoms - converging spring colors", recreating the history, culture and people of Da Lat through elaborate music and dance performances, and fashion shows.
Within the framework of the festival, many activities to serve tourists will be organized such as: announcing maps of cherry blossom viewing spots, specialized tours; admiring flowers and enjoying free coffee at Tuyen Lam National Tourist Area.
In particular, the "Empress Blossoms on Cau Dat Tea Area" tour at Cau Dat Tea Hill and the "Empress Blossom Dream in the Valley" program at Valley of Love are expected to attract a large number of tourists.
