On May 5, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee announced that the 2026 Sen Village Festival will be held on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), and announced the decision on Kim Lien National Tourist Area.
The festival is an important political and cultural activity, expressing the people's sincerity and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh; and at the same time contributing to propagating and educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, promoting the image of Nghe An homeland to friends at home and abroad.

According to the plan, the festival will officially open at 8:10 PM on May 18th at Lang Sen stadium, Kim Lien commune and will be broadcast live on NTV and HTV channels. The opening art program has the participation of many artists and actors from Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An.
Previously, in the afternoon of the same day, a flower and incense offering ceremony will take place at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and Chung Son Temple. The evening is the procession of Uncle Ho's photo from Kim Lien Relic Site to Lang Sen stadium.
Within the framework of the festival, many cultural, exhibition, and tourism activities will be organized such as the thematic exhibition "Commemorating the 115th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country", the "Village Market" space associated with tourism experiences at Sen Village, displaying a system of museums and memorial sites of President Ho Chi Minh nationwide.
In addition, Nghe An province also organized the exhibition "80 years of Uncle Ho's call for national resistance" and activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Kim Lien Relic Site.
A notable highlight is the announcement ceremony of the decision on Kim Lien National Tourist Area and the inauguration of the 9-story Waterfall Project in Kim Lien commune, contributing to completing tourism infrastructure and attracting tourists.
The festival is expected to close on May 30th at Ho Chi Minh Square, Truong Vinh ward.
Upgraded from the Sen Village Singing Festival in 2002, the Sen Village Festival has now become a major cultural event of Nghe An, attracting a large number of people and tourists from home and abroad to participate, contributing to promoting sustainable tourism development.
