Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said that the festival is an event of positive significance to honor traditional culinary cultural values, while contributing to promoting the image of the capital Hanoi - a creative, elegant city rich in cultural identity.

From Hanois 36 streets, to a Hanoi that expands administrative boundaries, with the intersection and crystallization of Doai culture in many regions, Hanoi cuisine has become rich, diverse, both sophisticated, standard, and rich in creativity, said Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai.

At the opening ceremony, the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was announced to include "Knowledge about processing and enjoying La Vong fish cake (Hanoi city)" in the list of national intangible cultural heritages.

The Hanoi Food Culture Festival is an annual event chaired by the City People's Committee and assigned by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with relevant units.
In particular, from 2022, the Hanoi Party Committee issued Resolution No. 09 on the development of cultural industries in the capital for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, with a vision to 2045, in which cuisine is identified as one of the areas contributing to promoting the development of cultural industries in the city.

The 2025 European Culinary Culture Festival takes place from December 19 to 22, giving people and tourists a space to explore and enjoy unique cuisine.
