Time Out travel magazine (UK) has just announced a list of 20 most ideal winter destinations in the world in 2025-2026, including Vietnam.
Time Out's list brings together 20 typical destinations in the world such as Cape Town (South Africa), Tenerife ( Spain), Namibia and Cartagena (Colombia), each representing a different style of tourism.
Accordingly, Time Out believes that Vietnam owns a rich and accessible cuisine, from sidewalk restaurants to high-end restaurants, at reasonable costs. Tourists can eat deliciously anywhere, from traditional dishes to modern variations.
Winter in the North is the clearest with temperatures of 12-15 degrees Celsius. This is the ideal time to enjoy pho - a dish that has been praised by CNN as "the best soup in the world" and was included in the list of "50 dishes you should try once in your life".

In addition to pho, vermicelli soup dishes such as bun thang, bun trai, bun bo, bun ca are also popular with many international tourists.
The South China Morning Post once compared bun thang to the delicate symphony of Vietnamese cuisine.
Hanoi winter is also attractive with hot sweet soups such as cassava sweet soup, Mrs. everyone's sweet soup, and banh lo tau. CNN once included banh da bo in its list of "unique Asian winter desserts", emphasizing the scent of ginger and the flexibility of sticky rice flour to create a warm feeling.
According to Time Out, the best time to travel to Vietnam is from October to February of the following year. Travel and accommodation costs are considered friendly, with many more international destinations being competitive.
The magazine also suggested the discovery journey from Hanoi to Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi is famous for its small, pretty jazz bars, the old town and street food. Hoi An is known for Cao Lau, the space of the old town and the lanterns. Ho Chi Minh City is attractive with its restaurant system, cafes and vibrant nightlife.
