Ho Chi Minh City launches fireworks to welcome the New Year 2026 at 6 locations
Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays for 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2026, at 6 locations including 3 high-altitude points and 3 low-altitude points.
High-altitude fireworks display locations:
- Saigon River tunnel head area (An Khanh ward): 1,260 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude platforms, 10 fireworks platforms;
- New city center (Binh Duong ward): 500 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays;
- Tam Thang Square (Vung Tau ward): 500 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays.
Low-altitude fireworks display locations:
- Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward): 90 platforms;
- SAIGON MARINA IFC tower (Saigon ward): 90 platforms;
- Kim Long Villa Area (Rach Dia Bridge, Nha Be Commune): 90 platforms.
All organizational costs are implemented from socialized sources, without using the state budget.
Countdown 2026 explodes in the city center
Parallel to the fireworks display is the Countdown 2026 event.
Tiger Remix 2026 Countdown:
Countdown Tiger Remix 2026 will take place on the evening of December 31, 2025 at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, and also expand to Le Loi Street, Lam Son Park and the Ho Chi Minh City Theater area. The event is expected to become a grand New Year's Eve music festival.
The program gathers a series of famous artists such as SOOBIN, Toc Tien, Hoang Thuy Linh, Quang Hung MasterD, Phuong My Chi, Kay Tran, Pham Anh Khoa, NSND Huu Quoc, along with DJ Soda and many guest DJs and artists, promising to bring a explosive music party in the moment of New Year's transition.
Countdown 2026 at The Global City
Countdown 2026 at The Global City is also an attractive destination, with the participation of artists including Noo Phuoc Thinh, JustaTee, My My and many outstanding DJs. The event takes place from 3:00 PM to late night on December 31, 2025, combining art performances and fireworks effects, serving a large number of people and tourists.
Diverse cultural and entertainment festival chain
Throughout the 2026 New Year holiday, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes many rich cultural and artistic activities. Typical is the Hozo City Tet Fest 2025 festival at Saigon Riverside Park, lasting 5 days with music and creative activities, closing with a countdown to welcome the New Year on the evening of December 31st.
Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens organizes the International Cultural Week to celebrate the New Year 2026 from December 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026, and is free of entry from 5pm to 9pm every day.
Cu Chi Tunnels organizes a night tour "War Zone Moon" on the evening of January 1, 2026 (from 6 pm to 8:40 pm). The program vividly recreates the lives of people and soldiers in the liberated region through a system of sound, lighting and historical scenes.
