Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Doan The Tai - Head of Thac Ba Lake Water Sports Club said that to celebrate the country's major holidays, on August 23, the unit organized a sprint race with more than 50 athletes from Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, and Hanoi provinces attending.
Within the framework of the program, athletes will bring the audience rescue and relief skills on the lake; skills to control canoes, boats; and water adventure sports.
The program is aimed at promoting the tourism potential of Thac Ba Lake, an attractive eco-tourism area of Lao Cai province with an area of over 200 km2 and 1,331 large and small islands.
"Cessation racing is a new adventure sport, so to organize the competition, the units had to practice very carefully to ensure absolute safety for the athletes participating, bringing the audience the most impressive performances," Mr. Doan The Tai added.
With the skillful technique of controlling steam boats that have been used in training courses as well as practicing in professional races, the athletes have brought people and tourists beautiful performances and chases.
This is also a new, unique and attractive competition content that contributes to promoting local tourism.
