Speaking at the Gala of gratitude to Korean Companies - Affirming the strategic partnership between Da Nang and the Korean market on the evening of August 4, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that Korea has always been one of Da Nang's leading important partners in many fields such as tourism, investment, trade and cultural exchange.
In addition, airlines, tourism product lines, as well as the number of Korean tourists to Da Nang have become a "ring" opening up a close, effective and strong relationship between the two sides.
Over the past decade, the Da Nang tourism industry has had many remarkable developments. This includes great, persistent and dedicated contributions from Korean partners.
According to Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, there are currently 12 airlines operating 150 flights per week connecting Da Nang with major cities in Korea.
In the first 7 months of 2025 alone, Da Nang City welcomed more than 4 million international visitors. Of which, over 1 million were Korean tourists. This is an impressive number, showing the deep love that the Korean people have had and are having for the city.
In the new development stage, when Da Nang City officially expands administrative boundaries and sets a goal of becoming a leading tourism - service center in Asia, the city determined that Korea will continue to be a strategic market that needs investment and prioritizes stronger development in the coming time.
Da Nang City is committed to always opening doors for cooperation, being ready to share resources, innovate thinking and accompany on the journey to create a bright tourism future, not only for Da Nang City, but also for the friendly and sustainable cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea.
At the event, the Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee also honored and presented medals to 12 airlines operating Da Nang - Korea connecting routes including: Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Air Busan, Jeju Air, T'way Air, Eastar Jet, Air Seoul, Jin Air, Aero K, Air Premia, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air.
Da Nang City also honors outstanding Korean partners who have actively contributed to bringing tourists to Da Nang in recent times such as Mode Tour, Hana Tour, Chang Tour, Totobooking Company Limited...
