National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will take place from March to December 2026 with a total of 244 cultural, sports and tourism events and activities. Among them, there are 18 activities chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 109 activities organized by Gia Lai province; 117 response activities from 22 provinces and cities across the country.
The opening ceremony will officially take place at 8:10 PM on March 28th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon ward, expected to welcome about 70,000 tourists.

Tourism must not only stop at festivals and events but must truly create value for socio-economic development after organization. All events are aimed at economic development, which is cultural economy, sports economy, and tourism economy," Ms. Lich emphasized.
From forest-sea ecotourism to the unique community cultural values of ethnic minorities, Gia Lai is aiming to build a product chain that can retain long-term tourists, instead of just stopping at short-term events.
