At the working session, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province - informed about the arrangement of working areas, providing information hubs for press agencies, in order to ensure propaganda for the series of events of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.
In the discussion, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters raised issues of public and tourist concern related to ensuring passenger transport connectivity, especially flights to the province during the event, in the context of strong fluctuations in gasoline prices due to the impact of the Middle East conflict.

Responding to this content, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - said that before concerns that high gasoline and oil prices could affect transportation activities, the province has proactively developed many plans to meet the travel needs of tourists, creating favorable conditions for tourism development during the event.
According to Ms. Lich, the province has signed an agreement with Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) to propose increasing flights and supporting ticket price reductions. With Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways), passengers flying to the province are free of charge for 1 night of accommodation and 1 golf match at FLC resort. Vietjet Air Joint Stock Company (Vietjet Air) also said that it will prioritize increasing flights to the province.

Not only by air, the province is also working with passenger transport units by car and rail to develop plans to increase trips, ensuring the travel needs of people and tourists.
Ms. Lich said that the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will have 244 tourism, cultural, and sports events taking place from March to December 2026 in Quy Nhon and Pleiku wards.
The series of events is not simply for entertainment, but all aim to develop tourism, attract tourists and bring practical benefits to people.
For example, hosting National Tourism Year 2026 is like preparing a "big feast" to welcome guests, Ms. Lich said that the province is particularly interested in building the image of friendly and hospitable Gia Lai people.
Maybe the service and infrastructure are not perfect, but the hospitality and sincerity of each citizen will be a big plus, leaving an impression in the hearts of tourists," Ms. Lich emphasized.

Currently, the province has built a "Comfortable as at home" model at restaurants, hotels, cafes, people's houses and public places with a common identification logo. In places with this logo, tourists will use free toilets.
To ensure accommodation for tourists in case accommodation facilities are overloaded, the province has implemented cleanliness for wards in Quy Nhon area, ready to open all community houses and residential group cultural houses, and at the same time call on people to participate in welcoming overnight guests when necessary.
The province has directed to support funding for households to open their doors to welcome guests. This is an undesirable situation, but the province has prepared a plan to ensure accommodation for tourists," Ms. Lich informed.
National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will officially open at 8:10 PM on March 28th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon ward.
The program is staged in a large-scale real-scene format, combining modern performing arts with traditional cultural materials, recreating the journey connecting from the vast forest to the blue sea through stage language, music, dance and visual effects.
