Notably, the Thu Dau Mot Traditional House area is considered a favorite destination on the tourist map in the North of Ho Chi Minh City. Here, people and tourists can park their cars at the parking lot opposite Thu Dau Mot market and then stroll and take souvenir photos at the Thu Dau Mot Traditional House. Every day, thousands of people flock to this area to visit, play, and shop.
At Thu Dau Mot Traditional House, the space is decorated with strong spring colors. The house has a nostalgic shape, cleverly decorated with straw and agricultural products. Outside the yard, some old vehicles such as hand-drawn carriages, horse-drawn carriages and traditional craft areas are also highlighted to attract tourists to visit and take pictures.
According to Thu Dau Mot ward, Thu Dau Mot Traditional House is restored on the foundation of the Phu Cuong Works House relic (also known as Phu Cuong Village House). This place has marked many feats of arms of the army and people of Thu Dau Mot town in the past. In particular, this is a convergence point for the armies advancing to liberate Thu Dau Mot in the spring of 1975.
Over the years, the relic has always been a source of pride in the hearts of every resident of Dat Thu. Therefore, to continue the heroic traditions, in 2020, the old Thu Dau Mot city rebuilt the above building bearing the imprint of the old relic and chose this place to be the Traditional House of Thu Dau Mot. The space of the traditional house combined with a park is about 1,000 m2 wide, becoming a place to play and learn about the historical and cultural values of the locality.
Since being put into operation, this project, along with the Thu Dau Mot market space and cultural works in the Nga Sau Binh Duong area, has become a favorite destination for tourists. People in the North of Ho Chi Minh City also choose this area as a destination to visit and have fun on weekends and holidays.
