Forecast of a tourism boom, many hotels are fully booked
The Ba Ria - Vung Tau Tourism Association predicts that during this year's April 30 holiday, there will be an explosion of tourists coming to have fun and relax in the province. In recent days, the purchasing power of rooms at accommodation establishments, especially resorts and hotels along the coast has continuously increased. Many accommodation facilities have booked rooms in advance during some days of the holiday.
According to Lao Dong, at Emerald Ho Tram Hotel (Xuyen Moc District) with more than 220 rooms, on April 30, more than 80% of rooms were booked in advance, and rooms were fully booked on May 1 and 2.
In Vung Tau City, the occupancy rate of pre-booked rooms is also quite high in the first 3 days of the holiday. For example, Premier Pearl with more than 230 rooms was packed on September 30 and February 2; also almost all of the pre-booked rooms were full on January and February 2.
Or at Ibis Styles Vung Tau with about 300 rooms, more than 90% of guests have booked for all 3 days from April 30 to May 2, and the number of guests contacting to find out how to book rooms is still high. Or at Mercure Vung Tau Resort, all pre-booked rooms are fully booked from April 30 to May 3.
Many accommodation establishments are expected to be fully booked during the holiday season, because beach tourism is attracting customers during the hot season, especially during the 5-day holiday. Since the end of March 2025, accommodation establishments have implemented plans to organize services to enhance the experience for tourists; prepare workers to be ready to serve when the number of visitors increases dramatically.
For example, at Emerald Ho Tram, there is a plan to show live reports of the parade in the main hall for visitors to watch; organize fireworks displays combined with outdoor grilled banh xeen to serve guests. Or at Ibis Styles; Mercure Vung Tau Resort organizes culinary programs; workshops on making Vietnamese coffee shop maps; DJ music... serving visitors.
Prepare carefully, ensure safety for welcoming guests to participate in the festival
Previously, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province requested areas, tourist attractions, and businesses to organize environmental sanitation, ensure food hygiene and safety, security and order before, during and after the festival.
accommodation establishments and service businesses must list prices and do business at the correct listed prices in convenient areas. Key tourist areas focus on rescue and relief work in beaches and swimming pools; increase support and guidance for tourists on sightseeing, dining, entertainment, etc.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Vice Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee, this is the golden time to attract tourists, so Vung Tau has implemented an enhancement, synchronous, and systematic plan to maintain safety for people and tourists, especially at beaches, parks, and community events.
During the holiday, Vung Tau will host many events such as the Kitchen Festival; Sailboat racing; branded goods promotion program; Flash Sale Holiday; cultural, culinary, music festival activities... bringing a vibrant and diverse festival atmosphere. With careful preparation, Vung Tau is ready to welcome visitors to enjoy a safe and attractive holiday with many experiences.
Similarly, Xuyen Moc district also simultaneously deployed work to ensure traffic safety, security and order at beaches and public areas. Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee - said that in addition to preparing to welcome a large number of visitors, the locality has completed urban renovation, planted flags and signs, and arranged personnel to be on duty and play speakers to guide visitors to participate in major cultural and sports events held in the area.
