On the afternoon of June 22, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 program - a major cultural and tourism event of the province this summer.
With the theme "Colors of the Ocean - International reach", Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 is held from the end of June to August 10, with more than 40 activities in the fields of culture, art, sports, tourism, trade and local product promotion.
The highlight of the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 is a series of three main festival days taking place from July 17 - 19. In which, the opening ceremony taking place at 8:00 PM on July 17 at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang ward) is invested on a large scale, applying modern performance technologies such as AR Realtime, 3D Mapping, combined with low-altitude and high-altitude fireworks.
Following is the Carnival Festival and Flower Car Parade taking place at 5 pm on July 18 on Tran Phu street with the participation of more than 2,000 artists. Nine flower cars with typical themes about sea and islands, energy, industry, culture and new development values of Khanh Hoa will create highlights for the festival space, serving people and tourists.
The closing ceremony combined with the "Unite the Continents" music festival took place on the evening of July 19 with the participation of famous artists, promising to create a vibrant atmosphere, connecting Khanh Hoa with domestic and international friends.
In addition to the main activities, this year's Sea Festival also has many response programs such as Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Festival, Agricultural Products - OCOP Products and Khanh Hoa Local Products Week 2026, Lam Son Fruit Festival and many street art performances, exhibitions, and kite flying art.
In the field of sports, many tournaments are also organized such as the VPS Cup Nha Trang 2026 International Sailing Race, off-road running, golf and beach soccer.
Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, Standing Deputy Head of Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 said that the programs have been selected and evaluated to create a bustling and impressive festival.
According to Ms. Hang, the new point of the 2026 Sea Festival is to expand the organization space, increase interaction so that people and tourists can not only stand and watch but also directly participate and experience.
Activities are connected from the coastal city space, culinary area to community cultural programs, helping tourists feel more clearly the identity of Khanh Hoa land.
This is also the first Sea Festival held in the context of Khanh Hoa implementing a two-level local government model, expanding the development space after arranging administrative units. The event is expected to be an opportunity to introduce the new face of the province, connecting strengths in sea and islands, tourism and marine economy.
Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 is not only a major cultural and tourism event but is also expected to create motivation to promote trade and services, contributing to making Khanh Hoa an important international tourism and marine economy center of the country.
