According to the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, forecasting the April 30th and May 1st holidays, An Giang is still a destination for entertainment and relaxation attracting tourists. Sea and island destinations - especially Phu Quoc - are still the top choice loved by many domestic and foreign tourists.
The weather is pleasant, the sea is calm, favorable for sightseeing, relaxation and outdoor experiences. Phu Quoc also recorded hotel segments with quite fast occupancy rates.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Khac Huy - Chairman of An Giang Provincial Tourism Association - said that the Phu Quoc tourism market this holiday recorded positive signals, especially in the domestic customer segment. Although gasoline and oil prices increased, causing travel costs, especially airfares, to increase, but tourists to Phu Quoc did not decrease.
It is forecasted that the number of domestic tourists to Phu Quoc during the April 30th and May 1st holidays will increase higher than in previous years, plus the international tourist market continues to maintain stability, contributing to maintaining the overall growth rate of the destination.
Phu Quoc International Airport also said that it is forecast that flights will increase by about 32% and passengers through the airport will increase by 44% compared to the same period in 2025. On average, the airport will receive about 118 flights per day, especially on peak days it can reach 130 flights/day, equivalent to about 22,000 passengers/day.
Mr. Huy also said that the number of service booking requests from partners in regions across the country pouring into travel and service companies is very large. Besides, the number of flights has also increased, the newest route opened recently is Nha Trang - Phu Quoc. Large travel agencies have deposited in advance for airlines, hotels...
Many companies also launched 3-day 2-night full-package combo packages, from only 4.4 million VND/person, including round-trip air tickets, hotels, food, sightseeing tickets... Or there are also 3-day 2-night combo packages from only 3.7 million VND/person...
Phu Quoc still maintains great attraction to domestic and foreign tourists, the trend of strong increase in domestic tourists shows that this place is still the top choice in the peak tourist season," Mr. Huy assessed.
According to the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, the whole province currently has 143 licensed travel service businesses (67 international travel businesses, 51 domestic travel businesses and 25 branches, representative offices, travel agents).
The total number of accommodation establishments in the province currently is 1,144 establishments with 39,157 rooms. Of which: 1 star: 11 establishments (297 rooms), 2 stars: 8 establishments (306 rooms), 3 stars: 7 establishments (493 rooms); 4 stars: 10 establishments (2,611 rooms), 5 stars: 21 establishments (10,844 rooms); hotels and guesthouses meeting tourist service standards have 465 establishments with 13,058 rooms.
The Department directs localities and business establishments in the area to strictly implement regulations, ensure service and product quality to serve tourists best during the holidays.

Entering the peak summer tourist season, the demand for travel, tour booking, and room booking of people is increasing sharply, the Department also recommends that tourists be vigilant and avoid transactions of unknown origin because tourism scams tend to increase.
