Specifically, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province recently issued Decision No. 1742/QD-UBND on converting forest use to other purposes to implement the project: Hoa Binh Lake Resort and Ecotourism Area in Suoi Hoa Commune, Tan Lac District, Hoa Binh Province (now Muong Hoa Commune, Phu Tho Province).
According to the decision, 16.67ha of forest land was converted to other purposes.
Of which, the natural forest area is 1.92ha, including 0.49ha of protection forest planning and 1.43ha adjusted outside the planning of three types of forests; the planted forest area is 14.75ha, including 0.95ha of protection forest planning and 13.80ha adjusted outside the planning of three types of forests.
Regarding the location of forest use purpose change, there are 47 lots in 2 compartments, sub-zone 161, in Muong Hoa commune.
Also according to the decision, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct specialized agencies to strengthen, inspect, and guide the project implementation according to the correct location and boundary of the forest that has been converted for use. Preside over and advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle land-related contents to implement the project in accordance with regulations.
Muong Hoa Commune People's Committee is responsible for inspecting and closely monitoring the project implementation process according to the correct location and boundary of the forest with changed land use purposes; promptly detecting violations of forestry laws (if any) and handling them according to regulations.
Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company (investor) is responsible for implementing the project in the correct location and area of forest use conversion; carry out other related procedures according to the provisions of law.
