On November 10, according to the reporter's source, the People's Council of Phu Tho province issued Resolution No. 40/NQ-HDND on the policy of converting the purpose of using 41.735 hectares of forest land to other purposes to implement 4 socio-economic development projects in the province.
The projects include:
3T Textile and Garment Export Factory Project in Dung Tien Commune with a converted forest area of 9.61 hectares.
Thinh Minh 1 Industrial Cluster Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project in Thinh Minh Commune, converted area of 29.75 hectares.
Melyday Restaurant, Hotel and Resort Project in Thanh Thuy Commune, converted area of 1.495 hectares.
Project to build a gasoline and general service store in Cam Khe commune, conversion area of 0.49 ha.
The People's Council of Phu Tho province requires the Provincial People's Committee to direct specialized agencies to comply with the provisions of the Forestry Law, arrange replacement forest planting areas, ensure strict management of records, and not take advantage of the forest conversion policy for other purposes.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees and the Provincial People's Council delegates strengthen supervision of the implementation process, to ensure harmony between economic development and forest resource protection.
