On July 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province said that after 6 months of implementing Plan No. 584/KH-UBND to implement the General Plan for building Mui Ne National Tourist Area to 2040, vision to 2050, many key tasks have been simultaneously implemented by departments, branches and localities in Lam Dong province, creating clear changes in infrastructure development and tourism environment.
Along with the announcement of planning, localities have established rapid response teams on tourism, publicizing hotlines to receive feedback from people, businesses and tourists.
The work of inspecting and mobilizing business establishments to list prices and improve service quality has also been strengthened to build a civilized and safe tourism environment.
One of the outstanding results is that the locality has completed the dossier for planting 528 planning markers, transferring them to the Department of Construction for appraisal to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.
At the same time, localities proactively review, adjust and newly develop urban planning and zoning planning to ensure consistency with the general planning of Mui Ne National Tourist Area.
Regarding infrastructure investment, the Department of Finance has advised to allocate about 128.754 billion VND to implement many urban embellishment and technical infrastructure projects in Mui Ne ward.
Capital is prioritized for projects such as coastal protection embankments, storm shelters for fishing boats, lighting systems, drainage and renovation of alleys, contributing to improving infrastructure quality to serve people and tourists.
In addition to public investment capital, the province also approved the policy of investing in many large-scale non-budget projects such as the civil aviation item of Phan Thiet Airport, Ham Tien - Mui Ne Sea Urban Area and Ham Tien - Mui Ne New Commercial - Service Urban Area. This is expected to create more development momentum for Mui Ne National Tourist Area in the coming time.
According to Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh, the planning of Mui Ne National Tourist Area is of particular importance in orienting the development of tourism space in a modern, synchronous and sustainable direction, towards the goal of making Mui Ne a national and international tourism center.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and localities to continue to closely follow the roadmap for planning implementation, prioritize investment in transportation projects, technical infrastructure, urban embellishment, waste and wastewater treatment, and attract capable investors.
These tasks are expected to create a foundation for Mui Ne to develop commensurate with the national tourist area, improve competitiveness and become an attractive destination of Vietnam on the international tourism map.
