Quang Ngai - After 2030, the province will build an electric train line and a cable car system connecting Big Island - Small Island in the Ly Son special zone.

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 336/QD-UBND on the Project to develop Ly Son special zone into a sea and island tourism center by 2030, with a vision to 2045. The project orients a comprehensive roadmap to make Ly Son a leading tourist destination, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the province and the whole country.

The project sets a goal that by 2030, Ly Son will become a sea and island tourism center of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, recognized as a National Tourist Area, with high-class resorts and unique community tourism models.

With a vision to 2045, Ly Son will reach out to become the sea and island tourism center of the country, an important destination on the international sea tourism route, optimally exploiting advantages to diversify products and access markets.

To achieve these goals, the project focuses on developing a variety of tourism products. Key products include sea and island tourism such as sightseeing, swimming, diving, sea sports, high-class resorts...

The project also focuses on market development and brand building. The domestic market is targeting large cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and the Red River Delta and Southeast regions.

The international market focuses on tourists from Russia, the United States, Europe, Australia, Japan, and Korea for resort tourism, golf, and exploration; ASEAN tourists are aimed at entertainment and heritage experiences. Promotion and advertising will promote the application of 4.0 technology, advertising on digital platforms, through events and fairs at home and abroad.

After 2030, the province will upgrade An Binh port, open sea transport routes connecting with Dung Quat, Ky Ha; build an electric train line and a cable car system connecting Big Island - Small Island.

Other technical infrastructure is also invested to improve the quality of electricity supply, communication, domestic water storage systems, seawater to freshwater treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants and waste treatment plants.

Regarding facilities, the project calls for investment from 3 - 5 4-5 star accommodation projects, high-class resorts; developing entertainment and commercial services such as bars, clubs, commercial centers, casinos, 18-hole golf courses; forming pedestrian streets, night markets, coastal parks and museums such as Geology, Oceanography, Hoang Sa - Truong Sa History.

Ly Son's tourism development space will be organized into 4 main areas including: service space in the East (airport, international port, high-class services); central tourism space (Big Island with mountain clusters, cultural tourism, spiritual tourism, sports, high-class resorts); service space in the West (urban, tourism, services associated with Ly Son port); and Small Island space (international-class resort center, smart city).

To implement the project, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee calls for close coordination from relevant ministries and sectors, along with the chairmanship of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in urging, inspecting, and supervising.
