Attracting tourists with new "pleasures"
Despite making great strides, Binh Dinh tourism still faces many challenges. Currently, the domestic tourist market is showing signs of saturation, while the province’s nightlife and entertainment activities are still limited and not attractive enough to retain tourists.
Mr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of Binh Dinh Province Department of Tourism said that in the coming time, the province's goal is to develop new destinations, build bustling entertainment areas, especially night tourism activities, to "retain" tourists.
“We are also focusing on exploiting the potential of night tourism - a promising but under-utilized field. The province will promote the development of night-time activities, especially in coastal areas, with festivals, unique art programs and forms of entertainment imbued with local cultural identity.
According to the general planning of Binh Dinh province approved by the Government, tourism is identified as one of the five pillars of development of the province. By 2030, the province's goal is to turn Binh Dinh into one of the leading tourist centers in the country," said Mr. Thanh.
According to the Director of the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province, in the coming period, the province will focus on developing tourism types based on existing strengths such as sea and island tourism, exploring scenic spots and exploiting the value of more than 120 historical and cultural relics. In particular, investing heavily in event tourism combining culture and sports, typically organizing national and international events.
