Ha Giang - The temporary suspension for visitors to visit Lung Cu Flag Tower is to serve the restoration and embellishment of the relic.

On June 2, information from the Dong Van District Relic Management Board (Ha Giang) said that the implementation of the restoration and embellishment of Lung Cu National Flag Tower relic took place from May 30 to June 18.

Visitors, individuals, and organizations not related to the construction are only allowed to stop at the waiting yard. Absolutely do not climb the stone steps to reach the Flag Tower. After that time, the tour will take place normally.

Lung Cu Flagpole is located in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district. The relic is located at an altitude of nearly 1,500m above sea level. The flagpole is 34.85m high, the flag is 54m2 wide, symbolizing 54 ethnic groups.

Normally, to conquer the top of the flagpole, visitors need to climb a total of 839 steps, divided into three stages. The first stage consists of 425 stone steps, leading from the foot of the mountain to the waiting room.

The second stage continues with 279 stone steps, taking visitors from the waiting room to the foot of the flagpole. Finally, the third stage consists of 135 steel steps inside the flagpole, leading straight to the top.

Lung Cu Flag Tower is a tourist destination that many tourists visit every time they come to Ha Giang. In 2009, the Flag Tower was ranked as a Historical Site and a National Scenic Landmark.
