Attending the conference were Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending were leaders of the Department of Tourism; Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism; Investment Promotion Center; Tourism Associations of Nghe An, Lam Dong, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh provinces. Notably, the program had the participation of 100 businesses operating in the tourism sector of Lam Dong and 4 provinces in the North Central region.
Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S affirmed: Lam Dong, with Da Lat - the famous city of thousands of flowers, is a favorite tourist destination not only domestically but also internationally.
In recent times, Lam Dong province has been making efforts to develop sustainable tourism, creating new, creative and quality tourism products on the basis of preserving and promoting the unique natural and cultural values of the locality.
This conference is organized with the goal of connecting Lam Dong tourism with some provinces in the Central region, thereby creating a synchronous, linked, complementary tourism ecosystem, developing together.
Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also hopes that the Tourism Association, tourism businesses of Nghe An and Lam Dong provinces and other provinces will continue to promote cooperation more, diversify tourism programs, especially closely cooperate with airlines to exploit the advantages of Vinh - Lien Khuong flight route to serve tourists.
Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Ha Van Sieu highly appreciated Lam Dong province's creativity in organizing tourism promotion and development programs with several central provinces.
With the goal of promoting sustainable and effective tourism development, the Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism proposed that localities need to strengthen links and develop common tourism products; step up tourism promotion and advertising; develop transport infrastructure and tourism facilities; build sustainable tourism policies and environmental protection; and improve the quality of tourism human resources.
Within the framework of the conference, at the meeting program, connecting local tourism service businesses, the localities presented their advantages and favorable conditions in terms of natural, cultural, economic and social conditions for tourism development.
Businesses also pointed out difficulties in promoting and advertising tourism in each locality, and at the same time hoped that all parties would cooperate to create common products to attract tourists.
Also at the conference, leaders of Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also informed about the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival taking place in December 2024.
In addition, Lam Dong Tourism Association and Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh Tourism Association; representatives of Lam Dong, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa tourism enterprises signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development between localities and enterprises.
