Ban Gioc Waterfall Control Station, Dam Thuy commune, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes to welcome the first international tourist group to "break ground" for tourism in 2026.
The group includes more than 20 tourists from China, choosing Ban Gioc - Duc Thien Waterfall scenic area (Vietnam side) as the starting destination for the spring trip. The trip was organized by Cao Bang Tourism Joint Stock Company on February 17 (ie, the 1st day of Lunar New Year).
Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of the natural waterfalls located on the border between the two most beautiful countries in the world, as assessed by the prestigious travel magazine Travel and Leisure.
In the bustling atmosphere of the first day of the new year, tourists complete entry procedures at Ban Gioc Waterfall Checkpoint, then visit and experience the majestic natural scenery of the tourist area.


At the reception, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent New Year greetings to the delegation, presented flowers and souvenirs, and expressed their appreciation for the tourists' choice of Cao Bang as a destination at the beginning of the year.
The activity of welcoming the first international tourist group in 2026 is expected to create a favorable starting momentum for the tourism industry in the northernmost part of the country; and at the same time promote the image of a safe, friendly, and civilized destination.
This is also an opportunity to show the proactiveness and willingness of all levels, sectors and the tourism business community in improving service quality.
Through the program, the tourism industry hopes that each tourist will become a bridge to promote and spread the natural beauty and unique cultural values of Cao Bang to international friends, contributing to promoting sustainable tourism growth.
