Ninh Binh - Buddhists, people and tourists can worship the Rosary of Buddha Shakyamuni at Bai Dinh Pagoda from May 21 to May 22.

The relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - a national treasure of India - will be honored at Bai Dinh Pagoda (Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province) from 8:00 a.m. on May 21 to 10:00 a.m. on May 22, 2025.

This is the fifth stop in the journey to worship and benefit the Buddha in Vietnam, after the following locations: Thanh Tam Pagoda (HCMC), Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) and Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam).

The celebration period lasts 26 hours, allowing Buddhists and people near and far to have the opportunity to attend a ceremony and admire the most sacred treasure of Buddhism.

The event has profound significance not only in spirituality but also as a cultural and religious exchange activity between the two countries of Vietnam and India.

According to the announcement from the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, the Indian government agreed to extend the time to religious relics in Vietnam after May 21 and add Bai Dinh pagoda to the list of destinations, showing common efforts to spread the spiritual values and enlightenment symbols of the Buddha to a large community.

Bai Dinh Pagoda - the largest pagoda complex in Vietnam and famous in the whole of Southeast Asia - is considered an ideal place to worship the Buddha's grace thanks to its sacred space, magnificent architecture and rich Buddhist activities.

Over the years, this place has become a major pilgrimage center for Buddhists at home and abroad, especially during the Vesak Festival, Spring Festival and international Buddhist events.
