Hanoi organizes a general fireworks display to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party. The general fireworks display is expected to last 15 minutes, on the evening of January 21st, at My Dinh National Stadium.
According to the plan of the Hanoi People's Committee, the fireworks rehearsal was held to review the entire technical script before the official program within the framework of the Special Art Program to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress held in the Capital.
The official fireworks program is scheduled to take place from 8:10 PM on January 23, 2026, closely following the overall script of the special art program "New Vision - New Era", held at 8:00 PM on the same day at My Dinh National Stadium.
The fireworks display point is located in the premises of My Dinh Stadium. In which, fireworks are installed on the roof and on both sides of stand B; high-altitude fireworks are arranged from halfway Le Duc Tho street, through the clock to the vacant land in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace, Tu Liem ward.
The total number of fireworks used for the program is nearly 10,000 units, including about 4,600 high-altitude fireworks, 950 flower sprayers of all kinds and more than 4,400 fireworks tubes. The high-altitude fireworks display alone lasted about 15 minutes, which is considered the highlight of the program and the largest scale ever in the fireworks displays in Hanoi.
During the January 21st fireworks rehearsal night, the Organizing Committee continued to test the fireworks battlefield with a denser density to check safety, timing accuracy as well as synchronization between sound, light and firework effects, ensuring that the official battlefield is about 100 times larger.
Previously, the organizers had fireworks for 5 minutes in the preliminary review session at 7:45 PM on January 18.
The art program and fireworks display were organized to widely propagate the meaning and stature of the 14th National Congress of the Party; and at the same time celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere of emulation throughout society.
Note that from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM on January 21st, 23rd and 24th, many roads in My Dinh area will be banned or restricted from vehicles to serve the general fireworks display and official fireworks display. People should proactively choose alternative routes through Thang Long Avenue, Me Tri, Ho Tung Mau or ring roads to avoid congestion.
Due to the road ban schedule around My Dinh Stadium, people and tourists should prioritize public transport, taxis, motorbike taxis... to avoid parking and walking too far to the fireworks viewing points.
