Make up for" summer vacation, tour 2.9 promises to explode
Although there are still a few weeks until the National Day holiday, the atmosphere of the holiday travel market this year has begun to heat up.
Assessing the overall picture of the September market, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Tourism Company said that the summer peak season was affected by fuel price fluctuations due to the world geopolitical situation. Input costs such as airfares and service prices increased, causing many families, especially groups of 3-4 people, to consider carefully before deciding to leave.
However, the fact that airline businesses adjusted ticket prices down in July and August has created a great attraction for tourists in Ho Chi Minh City as well as localities. This helps the rate of tour registration in these 2 peak months increase - a notable difference compared to every year.
Many families who have not had time to travel in the summer are tending to focus on the National Day holiday. Through surveys, tourists are willing to accept peak holiday prices to combine unfinished summer trips, creating conditions for many generations in the family to relax together before their children enter the new school year. Therefore, the 2/9 holiday this year will be a promising peak period with positive growth in the number of visitors compared to previous years" - Mr. Vu assessed.
Prioritize short trips, focus on experience
Besides the heat from the accumulated number of customers, the trend of choosing tours on September 2nd also recorded many clear changes. Short journeys, convenient schedules and reasonable costs are the top priorities of families and groups of young people.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tran Hoang Phuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Golden Smile Travel, in the domestic segment, self-sufficient tourism is strongly rising in coastal destinations thanks to convenient connecting transportation infrastructure. Meanwhile, Phu Quoc continues to affirm its attractiveness in the high-end segment with package and private resort packages.
For international routes, package tours still prevail thanks to the convenience of visa procedures, vehicles and accommodation, helping tourists optimize time and budget.
Grasping this psychology, travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City have proactively renewed products, focusing on the depth of experience instead of just filling the list of attractions.
