Entering the new year 2026, Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry aims to welcome about 11 million international visitors and 50 million domestic visitors, with total revenue from tourism estimated at about 330,000 billion VND.
To achieve this goal, the city synchronously implements many solutions, in which market promotion, advertising and expansion is one of the key activities, contributing to maintaining growth momentum, attracting high-quality tourist flows and raising the brand of destinations in the context of increasing tourism competition.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the city focuses on implementing the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Development Project to 2030. In which, the city promotes communication, promotes the image of Ho Chi Minh City's destination and tourism brand, focusing on accessing potential markets such as Europe, America and the Middle East.
Regarding market promotion, Ho Chi Minh City will implement tourism stimulus programs associated with shopping activities, focusing on key domestic markets such as the Mekong Delta region, Hanoi and surrounding areas, targeting groups of tourists with fairly high and high spending levels.
For the international market, the city prioritizes markets that already have air connections, visa exemptions, traditional markets and new markets with high growth rates.

Ho Chi Minh City focuses on improving the quality, scale and increasing the experience for tourists through major festivals and events such as the ITE HCMC 2026 International Tourism Fair, River Festival, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week and promotion programs at home and abroad.
In parallel with promotion work, the city's tourism industry continues to review and reposition products, develop night tourism, waterway tourism, culinary tourism, medical tourism and unique tourism products according to each locality. Promoting digital application and building a 3D, multilingual online tourism platform is also an important solution to improve accessibility to international tourists.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City tourism recorded many positive results, creating a foundation for the breakthrough goal in 2026. The number of international visitors is estimated to reach about 8.56 million, domestic visitors about 45.6 million, total revenue from tourism reached about 279,000 billion VND, exceeding the set plan.
