The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the city focuses on implementing the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Development Project to 2030. Regarding market promotion, Ho Chi Minh City will implement tourism stimulus programs associated with shopping activities, focusing on key domestic markets such as the Mekong Delta region, Hanoi and surrounding areas, targeting groups of tourists with fairly high and high spending levels.

For the international market, the city prioritizes markets that already have air connections, visa exemptions, traditional markets and new markets with high growth rates.

The number of international visitors is estimated to reach about 8.56 million, domestic visitors about 45.6 million, total revenue from tourism reached about 279,000 billion VND, exceeding the set plan.
