On July 29, at the Le Quy Don Cultural Figure Memorial Area (Le Quy Don commune), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen province in coordination with the Vietnam Center for Exhibitions of Culture and Arts organized the opening of the Exhibition "Heritage of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don".
This is a cultural activity within a series of events to celebrate the 300th birthday of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don, aimed at promoting his life and career; affirming his contributions, talent and honoring his great contributions to the fields of culture, literature, history and education.
At the same time, the exhibition contributes to arousing pride in the homeland and country, promoting the heritage values of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don in the new period.
The exhibition is arranged into 5 themes.
The special topic "Cultural Figure Le Quy Don - Life and Career" introduces the main features of Le Quy Don's background, family background, academic and mandarin career through the ancient administrative map of Dien Ha region, Son Nam town (now Le Quy Don commune, Hung Yen province), images of the ancient Dien Ha village, exam journey diagrams, career paths, along with woodblock copies and steles recording his three first-place finishes.
The special topic "Documentary Heritage - Quintessence of Knowledge" displays typical works of Le Quy Don in many fields such as history, geography, philosophy, military, diplomacy, literature..., along with information about the date, origin, place of storage, current state of preservation and outstanding value of each work.
In the topic "Heritage values of timeless ideology of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don", visitors were introduced to documents and artifacts reflecting ideology, morality, philosophy of life, views on governing the country and peace for the people, along with his contributions in the fields of diplomacy, military affairs and national sovereignty protection.
The special topic "Relics and artifacts commemorating Cultural Figure Le Quy Don" introduces a system of relics, architectural works, worship statues, steles, horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, imperial decrees and many precious documents preserved through many generations, expressing respect and gratitude to Cultural Figure Le Quy Don.
The topic "Preserving and promoting the heritage values of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don" reflects the work of inventorying and preserving heritage; researching, translating, publishing typical works; organizing traditional education activities for the young generation, and introducing changes in the homeland of Cultural Figure Le Quy Don.
Through thematic exhibitions, the exhibition contributes to spreading the ideological, academic and cultural heritage values of Le Quy Don, thereby arousing national pride, awareness of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in today's life.
