On June 19th, at Con My Phuoc, Nhon My Commune People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 20th Nhon My Commune Garden River Festival, Can Tho City, 2026.
My Phuoc Islet is located near the lower reaches of the Hau River, stretching west-north and southeast, formed by alluvium deposits forming an oval shape like today. My Phuoc Islet is about 3.5km long, with a natural area of more than 1,020 ha and greened by vast orchards.
On February 1, 2007, Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 141/QDHC-CTUBND, ranking My Phuoc islet as a Provincial-level Historical and Cultural Relic, Scenic Landscape type.
Mr. Truong Thanh Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nhon My Commune People's Committee - shared that for more than 20 years, every 5th day of the 5th lunar month (also known as Doan Ngo Tet), My Phuoc islet is bustling with tourists from near and far to visit and learn about it because the air here is fresh, and the trees are full of fruit.
In recent years, Nhon My commune has organized more entertainment activities to create a healthy playground for visitors. Through this, the locality introduces specialty fruits of the freshwater region, delicious dishes of the river region, from which the Water Garden Festival was born.
Ms. Pham Ngoc Ly (resident of Nhon My commune, Can Tho city) expressed: "Compared to last year, this year's Festival is more solemn and magnificent, many miniatures are decorated for visitors to check in, and the time is also organized longer.
I hope that the Festival will be maintained and developed even more so that visitors from all directions can return to the garden cultural space during the annual Doan Ngo Tet.
Coming to My Phuoc islet within the framework of the Festival, visitors will learn about fruits from booths from communes of Can Tho City, as well as products and services from businesses inside and outside the city.

My Phuoc Garden River Festival takes place from June 18 - 20, 2026. The event is expected to bring interesting experiences to people and tourists, creating opportunities to connect and promote economic values, promote and develop tourism in the riverine region of the locality.
