On the evening of October 13 (local time) in Hong Kong (China), the World Travel Awards honored Vietnam in two important categories: Asias Leading Destination 2025 and Asias Leading Heritage Destination 2025.
This is the 7th time Vietnam has been awarded the title of Top Destination in Asia and the 3rd time it has won the Top Heritage Destination award in Asia.
In addition, a series of destinations also won important awards.
Hanoi was awarded the title of "Asia's Leading City Destination 2025" and "Asia's Leading City Break Destination 2025".

Ninh Binh was honored as "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination 2025".
Tam Chuc (Ha Nam) was awarded the "Asia's Leading Cultural Tourism Destination" award.
Moc Chau won the "Asia's Leading Regional Natural Destination 2025" award, while Phong Nha - Ke Bang continues to affirm its class with the title "Asia's Leading National Park 2025".
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City won the double title of "Asia's Leading MICE Tourism Destination" and "Asia's Leading Festival and event Destination", while the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was honored as "Asia's Leading City Tourism Agency".
Vung Tau was awarded the Asia's Leading Coastal Resort Destination.
In terms of travel, Vietravel is honored as "Asia's Leading Tour Operator".
Sun Group affirmed its position as a leading tourism - resort group when awarded the awards of "Asia's Leading Integrated Tourism Group" and "Asia's Leading Tourism - Hotel Development Unit".
Sun World Ba Na Hills and Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills continue to be honored in the categories of theme parks and top-rated resorts in the region.
In the aviation sector, Vietnam Airlines was honored as "Asia's Leading Airline", and the Lotusmiles Loyalty Program won the "Asia's Leading Loyalty Program" award.
Vietjet Air received the "Asia's Leading Customer Experience" award, while Vietravel Airlines was awarded the title of "Asia's Leading Entertainment Airline".
Bamboo Airways was honored as Asias Leading Regional Airline.
Hai Au Seaplane Airlines also participated in the "Asia's Leading Seaplane Operator" award.
Vietnam's brands, accommodation facilities and tourism products are also honored in many leading categories in the region.
The World Travel Awards (WTA), established in 1993 and considered the "Oscar of the tourism industry", is an annual award to honor destinations, management agencies and excellent tourism service providers in many categories such as airlines, hotels, resorts, and travel. 2025 is the 31st edition of this award.
The award is honored at three levels: world, regional and national. The voting was conducted online, with the participation of tourists and experts, in which each expert's vote was worth twice the normal vote.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the WTA award is not only a recognition of achievements, but also a motivation for Vietnam's tourism to continue to affirm its position in the future.
In the context of increasingly fierce regional and global tourism competition, maintaining cultural identity, preserving natural resources, developing international standard services and constantly creating will be the "golden key" for Vietnam tourism to continue to shine.
