Vinh Long tourism during the Lunar New Year from December 27th to the 3rd day of the lunar month recorded many positive signs. Areas and attractions welcome a large number of tourists, and the spring atmosphere is vibrant and safe.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, the total number of visitors is estimated at 132,235, an increase of 11.5% over the same period; of which international visitors reached about 19,832, an increase of 24.6%. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 119 billion VND, an increase of 13.8%.
Ecotourism spots, experiences, and entertainment attract many families and groups of young people. Security and order assurance, environmental sanitation, and price listing are strictly implemented, creating a friendly destination image.
Ms. Le Kim Hoa, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, whose husband is from Cau Ngang commune, said that she combined visiting Ba Dong beach when returning to her husband's hometown. She commented that the roads are clear, the service is good, the price is reasonable, and the people are hospitable.
I see that this year there are quite many customers but there is no congestion. Food and parking services are neatly arranged, prices are clearly listed. My family is very satisfied to celebrate spring here," Ms. Hoa added.
Mr. Duong Hoang Sum - Director of Vinh Long Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that the above results show the proactiveness of the sector in preparing, embellishing destinations and improving the quality of service to tourists.
In 2026 and the following years, Vinh Long tourism will continue to diversify products, develop river ecotourism associated with local culture, promote digital transformation and attract infrastructure investment, towards sustainable development," Mr. Sum added.
