HOÀNG LỘC |

Vinh Long - Thousands of people in 100% of communes and wards participate in walking, contributing to setting a record for the number of localities responding together.

On August 30, thousands of officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, students and people of Vinh Long province participated in the "Joining Vietnam to Advance" activity in 2026.

The activity is organized at the longest red and flower pottery street in Vietnam, Long Chau ward, in front of Vinh Long Provincial Convention Center. The pedestrian path is about 1.6km long, starting from the Provincial Convention Center to the beginning of Tran Van Bay street and then back.

According to the plan, Vinh Long ensures that 100% of communes and wards in the area participate in coordinating the organization of activities. At the provincial-level bridge point, the participating force is mobilized at least from 5,000 - 6,000 people.

According to Ms. Be Muoi, the fact that people in 100% of communes and wards respond together creates a widespread spread, contributing to forming a green lifestyle, reducing emissions and joining hands to build a sustainable local development.

In addition to walking activities, the program also promotes the goal of net zero emissions by 2050, encouraging people to practice a green lifestyle, sort waste, save energy and plant trees.

This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, contributing to educating patriotism, arousing the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and aspiration to develop the homeland.
