This is an annual award to honor localities, organizations, businesses, destinations and typical tourism development models that have made outstanding contributions to the development of Vietnam's Tourism Industry.
Speaking at the opening, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association said that VITA Awards is not only an honoring activity but also aims to encourage innovation, promote digital transformation, green transformation and responsible tourism development.

Attending the ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Thuy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said that Vietnamese tourism is entering a new stage of development with higher requirements for quality, competitiveness and sustainable development.
The tourism industry needs to strongly shift from broad development to in-depth, from exploiting potential to creating value, improving product quality and competitiveness to meet the trend of experiential tourism and emotional tourism," said Mr. Pham Van Thuy.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 106 prizes in 9 categories to localities, organizations and tourism businesses from 20 provinces and cities.
Typically, the item "State management agency for tourism in localities advising on issuing breakthrough and creative policies to support tourism development" ranks first, the units named include the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province...
The Best Tourism Village in 2025 category honored Thai Hai village (Thai Nguyen), Thon Tha community cultural tourism village (Tuyen Quang), Lam Thuong tourism village (Lao Cai)... Meanwhile, the top community tourism village award was awarded to Nghia Do tourism village (Lao Cai), Nam Dam (Tuyen Quang), Yen Trung (Thanh Hoa)...
In the category of Leading Tourist Destination in 2025, Trang An Eco-tourism Area, Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Relic Area, Sun World Fansipan Legend Tourist Area... were honored. The title of Leading Emerging Destination with Attraction in 2025 belongs to Doi Rong - Dragon Ocean Do Son International Tourist Area (Hai Phong), Con En Tourist Area (An Giang)...

As the host of VITA Awards 2026, Ninh Binh was also honored in many categories, in which Ninh Binh Department of Tourism received the award of the State management agency for tourism in the locality for advising on the promulgation of breakthrough and creative policies to support tourism development in 2025.
Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism said that improving the quality of products, services, management capacity, technology application and building a destination brand is an urgent requirement in the new development stage of the tourism industry.
Mr. Bui Van Manh affirmed: "The destination brand is not only created from logos or slogans, but from the quality of each product, service, the professionalism of the business, the friendliness of the people and the satisfaction of tourists".
Closing the program, the Vietnam Tourism Association launched the VITA Awards 2027 to continue searching for and honoring typical localities, businesses, destinations and tourism products, contributing to building Vietnamese tourism brands in a professional, modern and sustainable direction.
