It is estimated that in the 2 days of the 2026 New Year holiday, there are about 61,000 visitors coming to visit, play, and relax in the ward. Of which, January 1 recorded about 33,000 visitors; and January 2 recorded about 28,000 visitors.
The flood relief force is always on 100% duty at public beaches, blowing whistles to guide tourists to swim in safe places; at the same time, installing flags and signs at swamps and dangerous flows; using canoes and water roller motorbikes to patrol, requesting tourists not to swim offshore... Through this, 6 cases of tourists who slipped into swamps and were swept away by waves were promptly rescued and brought ashore safely; and a lost child was received and handed over to his family.
Vung Tau ward also organizes propaganda and mobilization of tourists to well comply with park and beach regulations, and maintain hygiene in public places...
In total, 43 cases of illegal street vendors were reminded; 2 cases of bringing beer and food to the beach; 10 cases of driving and parking vehicles not in accordance with regulations...
It is expected that the number of visitors will continue to increase on January 3rd because it is the weekend, Vung Tau ward has continued to arrange on-duty forces, strengthening safety and environmental sanitation in the area in the coming days.
